A London based band that includes Texas Terri Laird (Texas Terri Bomb!, Scabies / James, Texas Terri & The Stiff Ones) on vocals; Kevin de Groot (Leopardskin Nuclear Bomber, The Kronstadt Uprising) on guitar; Stephen ‘Tash’ Reddihough (The Machines, Raw Power) on bass; and, Steve Pegrum aka Steve Machine (The Machines / The Ghosts of Lovers / The Kronstadt Uprising) on drums.  This is from their debut EP, released last spring.

Migrant Kids

Live version of the first single off the band’s S/T debut album (released this past Sept.).

It’s also a free download at Soundcloud.

The Farewell Circuit

Title track from the Minneapolis band’s latest (released this past May) five song EP, WE WERE WOLVES.

Scout Niblett

Emma “Scout” Niblett released her sixth album over this past summer.  This song has surfaced as my fave.

Here’s a live version:

Speedy Ortiz

A few wks ago, Speedy Ortiz put out this video for the stand-out single from her second album, MAJOR ARCANA (released this past July).  A new EP entitled REAL HAIR is due out Feb. 11.

KT Tunstall

This song is off the Scottish singer/songwriter’s sixth LP, INVISIBLE EMPIRE // CRESCENT MOON (June 2013).  It’s the first to really catch my attention.  Songs on the album heart touchingly deal with the death of her father and her divorce.

Daydream Machine

New (Dec. 10) single from the Portland, Oregon sextet.  The album, TWIN IDOLS, is due out in February.  The Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy For The Devil” certainly had an influence on the creation of this song.
